Katherine always wanted to be a therapist but childhood trauma set her another way. After being sober for a year and a half, she knew that all she had was time and with that, she quit her job and went back to school. It was her recovery that gifted her the strength to get where she is now. Katherine works with a variety of people of all walks of life, including trauma survivors, LGBTQIA clients, relationship issues, and mood dysregulation.
Katherine has this warmth and friendliness about her that makes you feel almost immediately comfortable. Katherine truly loves being a therapist. A client who had seen Katherine notes, “Eventually, I started to tell her things that I wouldn’t even say out loud to myself. She told me her ultimate goal was to help me help myself so that I didn’t need her again. I never expected this, and now I’m telling everyone because so many of us do not understand what therapy is really about.”
Many may not know that: Katherine loves to drink orange juice, but does not like eating an actual orange. She is a resourceful cook and can make an awesome meal with little ingredients. She also adopts senior chihuahuas, that are 5 lbs and under, and can be found carrying them around in a baby sling.
