When searching for a therapist for herself, Shana found a shortage of Black females working in the mental health field. It was then that her passion for mental health care and her journey to become a therapist began. Through a process of self-reflection, Shana knew she wanted to specialize in empowering Black girls and women, while supporting clients of all genders and backgrounds. As a therapist today, Shana helps clients facilitate positive change in their lives.
Shana focuses on the uniqueness of each client and approaches therapy from a holistic, whole person lens. She enjoys working with children, adults, couples, and teens. She is also certified in Mindfulness, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Many may not know that: Shana was a professional dancer in a Filipino dance company. She loves reading books. She also enjoys cooking, eating a delicious meal, and trying new recipes.
