Sharon knew that she wanted to give back and be of service to others. As a college senior, she participated in a 10 month commitment to AmeriCorps during the startup of initiative and partnership between the US Vets in Southern Nevada. Since then, more doors have opened for Sharon to continue to service the Southern Nevada community. Her areas of expertise include working with adolescents and adults with mood disorders and/or cooccurring (addiction issues), LGBTQ+ folks, as well as the treatment of sexual abuse and sexual offending/addiction and general mental health concerns and issues. She has specialized training as a sex offense treatment provider.
Sharon is a seasoned psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. Sharon has also worked in mental health in the Las Vegas Valley for over 20 years. She feels a strong tie to her community here. Her approach to therapy is personalized and integrative. She works together with clients to find more balance in their lives. She is known to provide unconditional positive regard, to work toward cultivating a helping relationship with her clients- to see them achieve their greatest potential.
Many may not know that: growing up, Sharon was one of six children. She has lived here in Henderson since 1993. She also loves to get her hands in the dirt-growing and caring for her houseplants.
