Urvi’s journey into the world of psychotherapy was driven by her genuine fascination with the intricate interplay between mental health and the legal system. With a minor in criminology and criminal justice complementing her psychology degree, her academic pursuits paved the way for her to truly understand and empathize with the challenges individuals face within these realms. Urvi’s clinical experience and skillset is diverse and client centered. She is also a fluent speaker in both Gujarati and Hindi.
Urvi has experience working with young children, teens, and adults. She embraces all opportunities to connect with clients of all walks of life. She feels honored to have had the opportunity to immerse herself in such a beautiful and transformative experience of training as a therapist within the LGBTQIA community, where she worked with individuals facing substance use challenges, guiding clients towards sobriety while empowering them to navigate the complexities of being HIV+. Urvi’s warm and gentle approach provided a safe space for clients to embrace their full selves, overcome adversity, and live their most authentic lives.
Many may not know that: Urvi loves a new adventure. She recently ate new cuisines that she has never tried before, and found herself really embracing the experience. When not in the therapy room, Urvi absolutely loves spending all the time she can with her family and friends, even if it means doing something as small as playing a card game with them. Many are confused with how to pronounce her name, and it is pronounced oor-vee.
